I acknowledge EARTH DAY as one may acknowledge a Holy Day in his religious belief system. The Earth is that sacred to me and with each opportunity I promote the holiness of Mother Earth. I have said more than a few times that Earth is my church. One way you can look at this day, April 22, ~~ it is an acknowledgement the entire world can share. Regardless of race, color and Creed.
Each year, Earth Day -- April 22 -- marks the anniversary of what many consider the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.
Of all two legged inhabitants on Earth, I strongly believe we can look to the Indigenous people of all countries of Mother Earth to understand better how sacred and loving she has been providing all she has in nutrition and medicine and how to best preserve her.
Remember, ~~ long before organized religions the Indigenous people of the world were aware and understood the importance of respect and preservation of the planet.
"When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world."
~~John Muir~~
"In wilderness is the preservation of the world."
~~ Henry David Thoreau ~~
"Only when the last tree is cut; only when the last river is polluted; only when the last fish is caught; only then will they realize that you cannot eat money."
~~ Cree Indian Prophecy ~~
Please view this very passionate video on acknowledging, Native Americans, Aztec, Amazon and many more indigenous people from around the world, ~~ all who were also persecuted, yet, always true to Mother Earth. This native song honors Mother Earth ~~~ called "Earth-Song".
May every day be a day of celebration for Mother Earth! Lets respect and protect her before it is too late.
With Love and Light to you!
