GREEK ORTHODOX ICONS ~~ THE CELESTIAL WORLD

                                                GREEK ORTHODOX ICON OF ANGELS:

The Greek Orthodox church and as a whole, Eastern Christianity, do not use three dimensional objects in church and homes. This means no Statutes. The reason is; Icons represent the celestial world and images of angels and holy men such as Saints and the Virgin Mother are not represented in an "Earthly" manner. The icons are the widows to the celestial world!

Angels play a significant role for those faithful in the Greek Orthodox church.

This video also represents some beautiful Byzantine chanting with a slide show of icons you can see in Eastern Orthodox churches and homes of their faithful.
