LATOKA ~~ NATIVE AMERICAN INSTRUCTIONS FOR LIFE

Lakota Instructions for Living

Friend do it this way - that is,
whatever you do in life,
do the very best you can
with both your heart and mind.
And if you do it that way,
the power of the Universe
will come to your assistance,
if your heart and mind are in unity.

When one sits in the Hoop of the people,
one must be responsible because
All of creation is related.
And the hurt of one is the hurt of all.
And the honor of one is the honor of all.
And whatever we do effects everything in the
universe.
If you do it that way-this is,
if you truly join your heart and mind
as One - whatever you ask for,
that is the way its going to be.
Passed down from White Buffalo Calf woman

White Buffalo Calf Woman   (Lakota: Pte Ska Win)    within Lakota tradition is considered as a woman of supernatural origin dating back to 10 to 15 BC. She is treated as a prophet or Messiah and is central to the Lakota religionShe showed the Lakota people how to use the Chanunpa sacred pipe which is the holiest of all worships.  From the free Wikipedia.

The birth of a white buffalo calf is seen as most significant of all prophetic signs. This is equivalent to weeping statutes, bleeding icons and crosses of light which are becoming prevalent in the  Christian Church.

Many believe that the buffalo calf, Miracle, born August 20, 1994 symbolizes the coming together of humanity into a oneness of heart, mind, and spirit.

I have yet to find any religion which could argue with these instructions for living as being a vital part of any creed as to all living things on the planet we share.
